About this deal

Discover everything that Anita Moorjani has learned about illness, healing, overcoming fear and the true magnificence of life itself, through her battle with illness and near-death experience. In a brand-new Afterword, she tells us how her life has dramatically changed since the book's original publication, including how the discovery that she is an empath has given her a profound new perspective on her near-death experience. I preferred the first two thirds of the book, in which the author describes her early life growing up in multicultural Hong Kong, her struggle with terminal cancer, and her near death experience, followed, miraculously, by a rapid and complete recovery. Once that happened, what took place in the cells of the body was merely like "handing a clerk some forms to sign." The miracle was not that she was healed. Nothing short of a miracle, either on this earth or off it, could have *stopped* her from being healed. In her introduction Moorjani attempts to explicitly state that these are her experiences alone, and that she is not trying to convince anyone, but help. Not to provide some new doctrine of existence, but to describe her story, and that each person needs to take their own path with their own cancer and ultimately their lives.* I had 360-degree peripheral vision with total awareness of my surroundings…Being in a body now felt confining.

What is the central message of each of these books? Learn to live in the Eternal "Now", which exists beyond our human conceptions of time and space. After all, "past" and future" have no intrinsic reality and are mere concepts in our consciousness. It is unnecessary to die or wait for a better life tomorrow, or after death. As Father Anthony De Mello SJ writes in his book "Awareness", it is always those who are most afraid to live right now who are most concerned with whether there is a life after this one. Nobody seems to understand the importance of: "Is there a life before death?" Going out and changing the world doesn't work for me.... It only feeds into the same judgmental energy that's causing problems in the first place since it stems from the opinion that something is wrong and needs to be changed. Instead, letting go of attachment to any way of believing or thinking has made me feel more expanded and almost transparent so that the universal energy can just flow through me. More possible coincidences happen in my life when I'm in this state of allowing." Self-love is not mentioned in The Storm Before the Calm, The Only Thing That Matters, Happier Than God, What God Wants, Home With God, Tomorrow’s God, The New Revelations, and Communion with God. Love yourself. Every time you beat yourself up, you create so much pain for yourself and others. Love yourself no matter what for no reason other than because you are here. Spend time connecting with your inner self. A review of Anita’s near-death experience: “It felt like love was coming from the whole universe, I was bathed in it”.Self-love actually appeared 10 times in Brene Brown’s The Gifts of Imperfection. And Brene did made clear that cultivating self-love and self-acceptance is not optional. I’m amazed that it takes a popular culture psychologist/researcher to recognize the importance of self-love. Yet, none of the serious spiritual writings touch on self-love in any depth, if mentioned at all. Once I realized that there's nothing outside my infinite self, I could begin to focus on viewing myself as an ongoing work of perfection..." Humor and laughter are so important. They are more healing than anything else. Don't take yourself and your problems too seriously. One of my biggest rules is that there should never be any hard and fast rules! I just pay attention to whatever feels right at the time."

Explore the transformative power of reframing your approach to health and wellbeing — by listening to the wisdom of your soul. Experience a dramatic shift that infuses your very being with indescribable love and joy. Imagine living with a soul-deep sense of self-love... feeling completely whole and at peace with every aspect of who you are and joyously following your life purpose. As part of a traditional Hindu family residing in a largely Chinese and British society, she had been pushed and pulled by cultural and religious customs since she had been a little girl. After years of struggling to forge her own path while trying to meet everyone else’s expectations, she had the realization, as a result of her epiphany on the other side, that she had the power to heal herself . . . and that there are miracles in the Universe that she had never even imagined. This is, in my opinion, the best book ever published in the English language (and I suspect any language) of a single near death experience. It may also be one of the most important books ever published on the way we treat and view ourselves. I have known the author personally for several years, but the above statement (and others like it below) are not a result of this. Rather, the exact reverse is the case: Anita's scintillating honesty, her authenticity on all aspects of her experience, the love and integrity of commitment between Anita and Danny (her husband) who saw her through the entire ordeal of cancer, her compassion and care for the healing of others through the self-realizing of their own Magnificence, her intelligent, playful, wholesomely un-guru-like personality in the wake of such an extraordinary event having happened to a human being, is precisely what generated the friendship. When I had a most difficult and delicate personal issue to deal with a few years ago, I chose Anita to confide in, even though we had not known each other very long. I disclose this fact only to illustrate how highly I rate this person's integrity and authenticity. A third message is to live life fearlessly. Before her near death experience, Moorjani says she feared everything (especially cancer) which contributed to her illness. After her near death experience, she no longer feared either living or dying.

Experience guided near-death journeys to release beliefs and fears that have kept you from living fully and joyfully with this Shift Network course. She inspires her audience to transform their lives by living more authentically, discovering their greatest passions, transcending their deepest fears, and living from a place of pure joy, and has the ability to explain such mind-bending concepts as timelessness, non-duality, and simultaneous realities, in such simplified terms that everyone can understand. If you think greeting each day with a lightness of being and unending gratitude is unattainable, Anita Moorjani felt the same way — until she literally died of end-stage cancer. After a miraculous near-death experience (NDE), she returned to this world knowing that she’d be fully healed — and with a mission to guide others to access the transformative wisdom she had been gifted with. If you fell you can follow a system (religion or belief) effortlessly, or if it's fun, that's great! But the minute it starts to be hard work or feel like a means of controlling your emotions or thoughts, it probably won't work very well for you." Personally, I really relate to her life and way of thinking prior to her being diagnosed with cancer, so this is a big wake-up call for me. Fortunately, I also resonate with the conclusions she got to and who knows...maybe this book just saved me from continuing making mistakes by living in fear. Finally, there is nearly a Seinfeldian amount of exclamation points in Moorjani’s writing. Thankfully, I hadn’t noticed this fact until near the end of the narrative (about the same time she finally relented that you may not have cancer because you don’t love yourself enough!).
